Flesh and Blood So Cheap reading
8 January,2018By: Anna DeRoos
We began our next collection in the English textbook. The theme is "guided by a cause". Throughout this collection students will explore the question: What inspires people to take action to improve their world?

Today in class we watched a short History Channel video and read the story "Flesh and Blood So Cheap" which both give an historical account of the Triangle Factory Fire. Many labor and workplace safety laws were created in the aftermath of the fire due to protesters and lobbyists who fought hard to improve the working conditions in America.
